North British Railway 2-2-2-0-0-2-2-2 Crampton Experimental (1852)

Built as an experimental large loco combination for the SG Edinburgh Railway between 1852 and 1853, these 2-2-2-0 locos were used in a coupled pair, with a water only tender in the rear, They were fuelled by coke, and 3 pairs were built.

What is depicted here is a set of 2 of these locos, Pollux and Castor. The other pair, id Romulus and Remus. All different, and tested for TRS2004 & TRS2006, include period footplate crew, animated coke loading, user selectable headcodes/tailcodes and cab/footplate views, as well as 'real' rivet detail and pierced wheel splashers. Livery is NBR maroon. The pics show the locos coupled to the premier carriage stock of the period.

The SC 2220-0222 Crampton Experimental Pack comprises 2 different 2-2-2-0 locos pairs and tenders, period crew, generic interior 'cab' and 'footplate' views, Industry enabled coke & water loading, user selectable headcode and tailcode lamps, 12 months support and warranty for $15 US. Individual loco pairs available for $10. To add weathering to locos please add $2 per loco pair. Carriages shown may be added at $5 each.
