NYC Niagara 4-8-4

These unique locos the premium 4-8-4 locos run by New York Central between Chicago and New Your City. They were capable of speeds in excess of 90mph, and held many records. Named after the Niagara Falls, the first Niagara was ordered in 1945, after an experimental Niagara of 1931, these new batch of the class S1a (6001) and S1b (6002-6025) were mixed traffic locos, were used primarily for passenger use. Also several locos were outshopped, and delivered to Mexico, numbered 3025-3056

Depicted here is 2 of these, 6001 and 1213, the 3rd of the pack will be 625. Locos and tenders are TRS2004, TRS2006 and TS2009 compatible and tested, including industry enabled tender with animated coal loading and water, animated cab crew, inside cab views. Real rivet detail is included where applicable, and the last pics show the in cab views. Custom Horn and bell sounds. Click on pic to see larger images
