What is represented here is a selection of GWR wagons used in the period WWII 1939-1945, available in a pack of 12, or smaller packs of 3. Individual wagons are also available. Many of these survived well into the 1980's, often used for differing purposes. These wagons are available in unweathered, weathered and rusty condition and are TRS2004, TRS2006 and TS2009 tested, and are Industry enabled to carry various loads. All loads will be provided with any of the wagons.

The Rectank was a World War One tank transporter, built to a War Department design by the Midland Railway and a good number travelled to France. After the war many were absorbed into revenue stock by the GWR carrying a wide variety of loads. Used once again in World War Two for their original purpose some survived nationalisation in 1948 and even into the 1980's as departmental (engineer's) stock! A rebuild of the Rectank, fitted with bolsters, were called Bogie Bolster A. A good number have been preserved.

The Warflat was a world War Two design tank transporter built from 1942 onward by various builders, including the Gloucester Carriage and wagon works. After the war the railway companies including the GWR purchased examples of this type, and they went on to have long lives, first in general freight stock, and later in engineering trains where they were used late into the 20th century. Some are preserved.

The Warwell history is basically the same as the Warflat, being built during WW2, and sold by the War Department to the GWR amongst others in peacetime. Again their lives were long thanks to their usefulness to the permanent way department. Some are known to have been fitted with hydraulic cranes in the 1970's and 80's

The Macaw C was the longest of the GWR flat wagons at 73' over buffers, and was specially built at Swindon for the movement of lengths of rail. Due to their length they were restricted to the GWR system unless special permission was granted.

The Parrot was a design from the Air Ministry in World War Two. Capable of carrying up to 20 tons their main purpose was the transport of aircraft wings and fuselage.
The pack will contain any 12 WWII Wagons, for $18, including 12 months warranty, fixes and updates. Alternativly, the 3 pack contains any 3 of the above for $6. Individual wagons available for $3. Please state with order which wagon Code, livery (GWR/BR/clean/weathered/rusty). All of the wagons carry Numbers, and you may specify the number for that special route!!!. Livery and number will be allocated if not specified. All prices are in $US.
