GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY 44xx Loco

The model depicted here is the small prarie tank 44xx class in Great Western livery. Additional liveries are available (Great Western, GWR (green & black), BR early and BR late (green and black)). Included are 3 Levels of Detail, specular and normal mapping (sheen and bumpiness) real rivet detail, inside cab views, user definable head and tail lamp codes. The last pics show the different liveries, GWR and BR.
The pack contains 3 different numbered GWR 44xx locos, animated coal loading, animated driver and coalmen figures, 10 sets of lamp headcodes and tailcodes, including 12 months warranty, all updates for $12 US. You may select 3 running numbers and livery (GW early/GWR late (black)/BR early/BR late(green/black)). Individual locos for $6. And $1 per loco for weathering.

COMPATABLE WITH

Built between 1906-1906, the 44xx class was the precursor to the 45xx class. Only 10 in number, was called the 'Praries', these being the small Praries. They were used primarily for the hilly regions of the West Country and Wales and were initially numbered from 3101 to 3110 for a short time, then re-numbered to 4400-4410 (the extra one being the prototype 3100). They differed from the 45xx class by having smaller drivers (4ft 1.5) and square footplate with small round windows in the cabfront. They were so successful that further orders were shopped with larger drivers, those being the 45xx class. Withdrawals were from 1949 to 1964. none of the 44xx class have survived into preservation.
