SP AC-8 Class

The pack contains any 3 locos, with matching tenders, in both the Southern Pacific logo (pre 1946) and Southern Pacific Lines (post 1946). Livery options are black clean as well as the plain black weathered . Please specify when ordering. Animated driver and engineer figures, special texturing techniques, including 12 months warranty, all updates and fixes for $15 US. Individual locos are available at $8 each. Please add $2 each loco/tender for full weathering.
The model utilises Industry enabling for oil and water, and has animated cab crew. 6 Different matching tenders are included in the pack. Special texture mapping techniques are used with real rivet detail where applicable. As this is such a popular request, I will put ANY Railroad/number on them, just let me know and I will oblige.

COMPATABLE WITH

The AC8 was an articulated 2-8-8-4 Southern loco that served the Southern Pacific Company from 1937 to 1958. They were built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1939. Numbered 4177 - 4204. The AC-8s were just slightly larger than the AC-7, but with larger tenders and bevelled front.. They were almost the largest of SP locos at 298 tonnes (657,000 pounds with tender). They ran freight between New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, and were transferred to run between Nevada and California late in life. They were all using oil as depicted here.
