This class of loco was designed to run on tracks that were too light for the heavier Class 4 locos. These Class 3 Prarie Tanks were built in the Swindon erecting shop from 1952-55. 35 were made being allocated to the Western and Southern regions of BR. They were withdrawn between 1964 and 1967 with none preserved for posterityThe 82xxx class pack comprises 3 different locos supplied will be early or late crest, lined BR black, weathered as an option.
